Managing your UCard benefits online puts you in control — check how much grocery or OTC allowance you have left, find participating stores near you, review past transactions, and update your account, all without calling member services. Here’s how to get the most out of the UnitedHealthcare member portal and app.

Setting Up Your Online Account

If you haven’t registered for an online account yet, getting started takes just a few minutes. Have your UCard handy — you’ll need your member ID.
1

Go to the UnitedHealthcare website

Navigate to uhc.com and click Sign In in the top-right corner of the page.
2

Register as a new user

If this is your first time, click Register and enter your member ID (found on the front of your UCard), along with your date of birth and ZIP code.
3

Create your credentials

Choose a username and create a password by following the on-screen prompts. Make sure your password is strong and unique to this account.
4

Verify your identity

UnitedHealthcare will send a verification code to your email address or phone number. Enter the code when prompted to confirm your identity and secure your account.
5

Access your dashboard

Once logged in, you’ll land on your member dashboard where you can view your UCard balances, benefit details, and all available account tools.

What You Can Do in the Member Portal

The member portal gives you a complete picture of your UCard benefits in one place:

Check Benefit Balances

View your current grocery, OTC, and rewards balances at a glance, along with the dates when each benefit resets for the next period.

Transaction History

Review a detailed log of your recent UCard purchases and benefit usage so you always know where your allowance has been spent.

Store Locator

Search for participating grocery stores, pharmacies, and fitness locations near you to make sure you’re shopping and working out at eligible locations.

Order OTC Items

Depending on your plan, you may be able to order eligible over-the-counter products directly through the portal and have them shipped to your home.

Update Contact Info

Keep your mailing address and phone number current so you receive important benefit updates, renewal notices, and your physical UCard without delays.

Request a Replacement Card

If your UCard is lost, stolen, or damaged, you can request a replacement directly through the portal without waiting on hold with member services.

Using the UHC Mobile App

The UnitedHealthcare app — available on both iOS and Android — brings the same features from the member portal to your phone, so you can manage your benefits wherever you are:
  • View UCard balances from your phone’s home screen widget on supported devices, so your remaining allowance is always one glance away
  • Scan QR codes at participating store locations for easy check-in and seamless benefit redemption
  • Get push notifications the moment your benefits refresh for a new period or when a new reward is credited to your account
  • Access your digital UCard directly from the app — no need to carry the physical card with you everywhere you go
Download the UHC app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). Search for “UnitedHealthcare” and look for the official blue and white logo to make sure you’re downloading the correct app.

Keeping Your Account Secure

Your member account contains sensitive health and financial information. Follow these best practices to keep it safe:
  • Use a unique, strong password for your UHC account and never reuse a password you’ve used on another site
  • Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) in your account security settings for an added layer of protection at login
  • Never share your username or password with anyone — UnitedHealthcare representatives will never ask for your login credentials over the phone
  • Sign out of the portal when you’re finished, especially if you’re using a shared, public, or borrowed computer
If you believe your UCard or member account has been compromised, call the number on the back of your UCard immediately to freeze your card and report the suspected fraud. Acting quickly helps prevent unauthorized use of your benefit dollars.
